For example, businessman Ramaz Akhvlediani confirmed to us on July 22 that Mzevinar Ansiani was his criminal lawyer in the "Lisi Lake case", but Ramaz Akhvlediani said that he decided to cancel the contract of Mzevinar Ansiani in order to avoid any inconvenience.
Since all criminal cases are related to the prosecutor's office, the question arises: will the chief prosecutor have a conflict of interest if his wife will still continue her practice as a criminal lawyer, and if the lawyers of the above mentioned two companies gonna work in criminal cases.
After two weeks of trying to interview Shalva Tadumadze and his wife, we received a written explanation:

Mzeo Ansiani, the wife of the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Shalva Tadumadze, has avoided all criminal cases, which is confirmed by the documents in the cases. We would also like to inform you that the law firms related to the wife of the Chief Prosecutor have started the relevant procedures for the suspension of criminal advocacy activities. Relevant documents will be published after the procedures are completed. "
In the near future, we will check whether the Chief Prosecutor's wife has avoided all criminal cases and also whether the criminal law offices of Shalva Tadumadze's family have stopped their criminal advocacy activities. Relevant documents have not been published yet.
